In Longwave Therapy, the sound energy is used by increasing the frequency of the sound above the hearing range. The frequency is made around 16Hz – 20,000 Hz. Although the nature of the energy does not change, mechanical energy is used in this case. Ultrasound is usually around 1 and 3 MHz, whereas Longwave ultrasound in the 40 – 50 kHz range is used.
